Women's Circle sponsored Spiritual Renewal Retreat drew 75 women from 17 congregations for a weekend of prayer and creativity. Under the theme From Trashed to Treasured, the group examined ways to move from brokenness to healing through an excellent keynote address and conversations with Nancy Gowler Johnson, pastor of Puyallup First Christian Church. The group built a labyrinth path from rolls of toilet paper which they donated to the Murray Hills Christian Church "Casey's Corner" food pantry. Through eight workshops they explored community gardening, ministries with homeless neighbors, global partnerships in Africa, rag rug making, votive candle making, meditation practices and discussed the novel Bud, Not Buddy with each other. Conversations were lively around the espresso bar, the Italian soda bar and the One World Craft sale. Our worship time was a communion service with many women offering gifts of song, scripture reading, prayer, dance, poetry, and an offering for mission. Thank you to the planning group Liz Cronin (Portland FCC), Joyce Frame (Corvallis), Julie Hanna (Salem), Lorette Waggoner (Eugene FCC), Renee Windsor-White (Albany), and Cathy Myers Wirt (Regional Staff) Thank you to Murray Hills Christian Church for gracious hospitality!

The Christian Church in Oregon has a Regional Women's Circle that plans and coordinates the following ministries for women:
The Women's Circle hopes to draw together women from the wide variety of women's groups now meeting in our congregations. In addition to traditional Christian Women's Fellowship (CWF) groups, many congregations have a variety of women’s ministry groups meeting for service, prayer, and study. The regional women's events planners hope to draw women from both traditional and new forms of women's ministries.
For information about women’s ministries, contact Cathy Myers Wirt at the regional office or regional Women's Ministries Coordinator, Liz Cronin of the Portland First Christian Church. Both can be reached at odmail@oregondisciples.org or messages left for Liz at 503-226-7648.

Blessing Boxes are On-Line
The Click ‘n Give option for Blessing Box offerings is now up and running on the Disciples Women website. Just go to www.discipleswomen.org and you can’t miss it!
This is a way for women to keep counting their blessings over and over and over again - using the same coins. When boxes get full, they can count them out, go on-line and make their offering with their credit card and re-use the money for the next batch of blessings God has ready for them. What could be simpler? AND, the on-line system allows for entry of name and congregation and region so that offerings are credited to the proper church and region and sends an automatic receipt back to the giver.
We hope you are as excited as we are by this new feature. We’ll keep you posted as we keep expanding our reach to Disciples Women everywhere.
Shalom, Adonna Bowman
