Northwest Christian College
Eugene, Oregon

The Personal Touch
Close ties and personal concern characterize our campus environment. People take time to interact, communicate and develop relationships with one another. Faculty and administrators are approachable and genuinely care whether students are succeeding. This kind of emphasis on the individual is possible because of the size of our campus (500 students) and a student-faculty ratio of 17:1. The concern for the student's well-being and the quality of their education produces a rewarding learning experience.

Faith and Learning
Faith and learning are integrated at NCC, a process basic to achieving the College's mission. We contend that optimal learning takes place as we connect the intellectual with the spiritual. Our curriculum and campus life are designed to nurture the whole person: body, mind and soul. We value our long-standing relationship with the Christian Church and seek to encourage a diverse campus community that welcomes students from a wide variety of church backgrounds.

Strong Tradition
Northwest Christian College was founded in 1895 by pastor-educator, Eugene C. Sanderson, and was originally called Eugene Divinity School. Through a series of name changes and a merger, we became known as Northwest Christian College in 1934.

Northwest Christian College is historically related to the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

Culver-Stockton College
Canton, Missouri
Web site: www.culver.edu

An education lasts a lifetime. At Culver-Stockton, our educational qualities have endured since 1853. We enjoy a distinctive focus, combining the personality of a traditional liberal arts environment with outstanding technology and practical learning experiences. Our heritage with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) offers students a caring and supportive community. We remain a value among regional leaders, as our tuition places us among the most affordable programs of our type. Given our superb record, it's no wonder that Culver-Stockton was named one of "America's Best Christian Colleges" in 1999 and 2001.

Culver-Stockton has an uncommon record of innovation. Early pioneers with the church founded the college as the first institution of higher learning west of the Mississippi chartered expressly for coeducation. Today, Culver-Stockton continues to set an enviable technological pace. Our community is among the most technologically "wired" of small college campuses, with fast and reliable Internet and e-mail access for each student in every residence hall room.

Advertised college costs represent only 78% of the total cost of educating a student, while the support of our alumni, friends, and other donors helps defray the costs through our endowment. Over 90% of Culver-Stockton students benefit from financial assistance.
