In Oregon we have begun our work on the anti racism process in the following steps:

• Three visits from Jessica Vazquez from Reconciliation Mission to meet with key leaders, our regional board, Portland area Pastors, to lead workshops at our 2004 Regional Assembly and to preach in 3 of our congregations.
• A workshop at the 2003 Tex Sample event with our partners from the NW region to explore the work of the NW Anti-Racism Team
• A three day intensive training for invited leaders  in partnership with the NW region, So Idaho Region and the Northwest Christian College in January 2005

Next Steps:

• Presentations on the process to the regional board two times and ongoing raising of issues of racism in Oregon lifted up at regional gatherings.
